Be Kind To Yourself Therapy
Be Kind To Yourself Therapy
When life feels overwhelming, it can be hard to see a way forward. It may feel like a constant juggling act with deadlines at work, responsibilities at home, and the quiet pressure to keep everything together. On the outside, you may look like you are coping but inside you might feel:
Stuck in cycles of overthinking or self-doubt.
Constantly stressed or on edge, waiting for the next thing to go wrong.
Snapping at your partner or avoiding difficult conversations.
Drained from trying to balance work, relationships and your own needs.
Wondering why you can’t just “get it together” when everyone else seems to manage.
If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone and you don’t have to carry it all by yourself. I am here to help you change that.
I work with people experiencing challenges such as:
Anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, phobias, or constant overthinking.
Low self-esteem and self-worth.
Relationship difficulties and communication struggles.
Stress, burnout, or pressure from work and personal
responsibilities.
Grief and loss.
Feeling “stuck” or “disconnected from themselves” despite seeming successful on the outside.
My approach is compassionate, practical and collaborative. I see every client as unique and tailor sessions to fit your needs. You’re the expert in your own life and my role is to give you the tools and the support to overcome obstacles and move towards the life and relationships you want.
In our sessions, you will have a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space to explore what’s weighing you down. Together we will:
Identify the thoughts, beliefs, or personal “rules” that keep you feeling stuck.
Challenge and reframe the patterns that hold you back.
Build a toolkit of strategies to reduce stress, improve resilience, and boost confidence.
Empower you with the skills to become your own therapist so that you can carry these changes forward in daily life.
Therapy isn’t just about coping; it’s about creating the space to live with more balance, clarity and confidence.
How I Will Work With You
Therapy with me isn’t about lying on a couch or rehashing your past for hours. It’s about giving you practical tools to manage life differently, in ways that feel doable and lasting.
I will help you:
Understand the patterns that keep you stuck (like overthinking, people-pleasing, or harsh self-criticism).
Quiet the inner critic and start building a kinder, more supportive relationship with yourself.
Learn simple strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelm.
Improve communication and connection in your relationships, so you feel more like a team again.
Reconnect with your values and priorities, so you can feel more present and fulfilled.
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom”.
Viktor E. Frankl
My Approach
Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all. Sometimes it feels straightforward, other times it can feel challenging but that’s all part of the process of real change. To make sure therapy fits you, I draw on a blend of evidence-based approaches, tailoring each session to your needs, your goals, and the pace that feels right.
Here are the main approaches I use, explained simply:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
A practical and structured form of therapy, helping you break free from cycles of unhelpful thoughts and behaviours. Together we will explore how your thoughts, feelings, actions and physical responses are linked and how small shifts can make a big difference in how you feel day to day.
Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT)
A branch of CBT that helps you see that it’s not just what happens to you that matters or leads to emotional upset, but how you interpret it. By learning to spot and challenge unhelpful beliefs, you’ll be able to reframe your perspective, reduce distress, and build more balanced, empowering ways of thinking.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT teaches you how to stop fighting against difficult thoughts and feelings. Instead, you’ll learn mindfulness skills and behaviour strategies that help you live in line with your values. It’s about making room for life’s challenges while staying focused on what really matters to you.
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
If you are hard on yourself or struggle with self-criticism, CFT helps you replace the inner critic with a kinder, more supportive inner voice. Over time, this approach reduces shame, quietens harsh self-judgement, and helps you feel safer and more at ease within yourself.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
A gentle and powerful way of working that helps you understand the different “parts” of yourself such as the voices, feelings, or patterns that sometimes pull you in different directions. Instead of fighting against these parts, we learn to listen to them with compassion and curiosity, helping you make sense of why you feel stuck, reactive, or conflicted. This helps you feel calmer, more whole and in charge of your life.
Mindfulness
This is about pressing ‘pause’ when running on autopilot and reconnecting with the present moment. By noticing what’s going on inside and around you, without judgement, you will find it easier to break free from stress loops and enjoy life as it’s happening, right here and now.

For busy professionals who look like they have it all together but feel overwhelmed inside.
Life can look good on the outside - career, relationships, responsibilities - but inside you might feel anxious, stressed, disconnected, or like you’re constantly running on empty. You might be overthinking everything, doubting yourself, or feeling stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break, no matter how hard you try.
Individual therapy offers a safe, supportive space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and understand yourself on a deeper level.
Together, we explore the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that shape how you see yourself and respond to life’s challenges so you can build a stronger, kinder and more supportive relationship with yourself.
Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, REBT, and ACT, we work collaboratively to help you.
Therapy isn’t about fixing you, it’s about helping you understand and learn how to support yourself in new ways.
You’ll gain practical tools, deeper self-awareness, and the confidence to make choices that feel aligned with who you are and how you want to live.
If you’re ready to move from surviving to living more fully, let’s begin that journey together.

If your relationship feels strained, maybe you are having too many arguments, not enough closeness, maybe there’s a growing distance you can’t ignore or you may be questioning the future of your relationship. If this sounds like you, then I can offer a safe space for you both to be heard.
Modern life puts huge demands on us between our careers, families, responsibilities and often our relationships slip down the priority list. But when we stop paying attention, distance, disconnection or conflict can grow. Many couples come to me wanting better communication, more closeness, and a way to stop repeating the same unhelpful patterns.
I provide a safe, non-judgemental space for all kinds of relationships. Whether you are part of a couple, family, or exploring different relationship structures (LGBTQI+, polyamorous or consensual non-monogamy). Together we will create practical tools to help you navigate the complexities of relationships today and build a stronger foundation for the future.
Whether you are a busy professional couple struggling to stay connected, a family who are feeling stuck in old dynamics or whether you are looking to make changes in your relationship, couples therapy can help you reconnect and move forward together.

I’m an experienced Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and Couples Therapist based in South London and online, helping busy professionals and couples who feel overwhelmed, stuck or disconnected to find simple, practical ways to ease the stress and feel connected to themselves and each other again.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked for many years in the private sector. I understand first-hand the pressure of demanding careers, juggling responsibilities, and how quickly stress and challenges can take over daily life.
A series of life-changing events led me to retrain and follow my passion: supporting people to live with more ease, confidence and connection.
“You are not stuck where you are unless you decide to be”.

As an integrative therapist, I specialise in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), particularly Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) which is a powerful approach that helps you:
Spot unhelpful thought patterns that fuel stress, anxiety, or low self-worth.
Separate facts from the stories you tell yourself.
Develop healthier coping strategies.
Learn practical tools to manage life’s challenges more effectively.
By blending CBT with other evidence-based approaches, I will guide you in untangling the patterns that keep you stuck and support you in making positive, lasting changes.

Not at all. Therapy is for anyone who wants support, whether it’s coping with stress, managing anxiety, or wanting to feel more confident in themselves or their relationships.
There is no single answer however many people start to notice changes when they feel seen, heard and understood and when they start putting the exercises and tools into practice. We will check in regularly to see how it’s going.
That’s something we can talk about during the sessions. Feeling stuck can be part of the process and it often means we are on the edge of a breakthrough.
Yes. You don’t need to have the answers because therapy helps you to explore and make sense of what you are experiencing.
That happens. A big part of therapy is finding the right fit with your therapist and their approach. We will work together to find out what works best for you at this time.
This is a common fear. Remember we will be exploring this together and at your pace. Part of the journey is about learning to unconditionally accept yourself and to keep making choices that take you towards the life you want to be living.
That’s very common. The first step is often just coming along and seeing what it feels like, even if one partner is more hesitant.
If you’re feeling stuck, disconnected from each other or caught in the same arguments, therapy can help you shift those patterns and feel closer again.
Yes. Therapy can help you both decide what’s next with clarity and respect for each other. Whether that’s rebuilding the relationship or parting on healthier terms.
That’s exactly what therapy is for. I’ll help you both slow down, listen and express yourselves in healthier ways.
